Thanks for visiting our website! I’m Kristin Schmidtke, and I’ve been part of the PetersonAnthony team since 2017. In January 2022, my husband, Ryan, and I became the proud owners of the agency.

I grew up in the small town of Ringsted, Iowa, on my family’s farm. After marrying Ryan in 2004, I moved to Fairmont, where we’ve built our life. We have two sons, Brendan and Cameron, who are both in college and keep us busy.

Owning PetersonAnthony has been an incredible opportunity. We’re honored to continue the legacy of a family owned business that has served our community for more than 100 years. Preserving that tradition while helping our clients protect what matters is something we  value.

At PetersonAnthony, I’m passionate about providing service and building relationships with our customers. I enjoy welcoming people into our office, getting to know them personally, and helping them find insurance that fit their needs. While I enjoy working with all types of insurance, I especially love helping with farms, homes, and auto coverages.

When I’m not at the agency, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love visiting our boys at Augustana University, taking vacations together, we love country music, spending time at the lake, and helping on the family farm.
